GSAC Seeking Acute and Critical Care Nurses to Particpate in Chapter Renewal and Planning

AACN and the local chapter exist to meet the needs of the critical and acute care nurses in our region. Like many chapters, we have been on relative hiatus during the past 18 months due to the pandemic. As of July 1st, we start a new year and work is underway to renew our local chapter and focus on identifying and meeting your needs. Do you need continuing education credit? Certification review/preparation? Time to socialize and renew friendships? Want to work on a community project to improve the health of our region? Whatever it is, we want to provide a foundation to meet those needs.
Part of renewing and revitalizing the chapter is to find critical care nurses who are interested in developing leadership skills and joining the GSAC Board. We are also seeking nurses who may be interested in becoming a Chapter Officer. The following officer positions are available - President, President-Elect (for next year); Treasurer-Elect, Social Media Chair, Program Chair, Membership Chair.
Becoming an active member of chapter leadership will introduce you to experienced nurses who have been in these roles and will provide resources, support and mentoring to ensure your success.
If you or a colleague are interested in becoming a chapter leader, AACN Region 6 is offering a Leadership Development Workshop on July 14th from 4-5pm. This will be a Zoom meeting that is open to all 11 chapters in Region 6 which includes Georgia and Alabama. Details will be posted soon.
